Life starts at 40

Let's take a break muna for my Ilocos Trip and let me share with you about being "40".

Sabi nila Forty is the old age of youth. Some may quote that when someone reach 40 it means judgment or para sa ibang mga lalaki jan, it simply means life begins @ 40

Pero for us FLIers, 40 means year of Victory , a Bed of Roses and simply means SUCCESS!

Last Saturday was a weekend to remember. Yes indeed, because I became part of the celebration of 40 fruitful and excellent years of FLI and after that, we went to Punta de Fabian Resort with my closest friends!!! Happy fes! :) {Might have save that story on the next days}.
Luckily, we arrived kinda early and gotten a better seat and had a nice view away from the stage and from my crush. CHAR! Oo may ganon talaga!

The event was simple but meaningful.

It started with a mass, the event organizer also presented some remarkable happenings and photos for the past 39 yrs of the co., with awarding ceremony na pang GRAND SLAM ang arrive ng mga tumagal sa kompanya, speeches from the awardees and from the president and the most anticipated one, serving of gastronomic pack lunch na PAK na PAK!  At ito pa! May kasamang banda at ang pangalan ng grupo nila, LAKAS LOOB Band hehe, honest to goodness yun talga ang name nila! Buti hindi pala ko sumama. Baka mawalan ng gana ang lahat ng tao doon that time.

KC: Umaatend ka ba ng Mass?
Me: {Suddenly I felt uneasy}.
        Hindi. {period}
Kinabahan ako dun ah. Right after I took some shots of the priest at the stage, KC suddenly asked me that. So I thought, mali yung ginawa ko.  I took some photos afar naman so I guess walang masama. For documentary lang naman. Di ko lam eh. Actually, kala ko tapos na ang mass that's why I grabbed that opportunity. hehe..

The president- giving his notable speech.

There was this one line from our beloved president before he ends his speech that I want to share with you and I quote, " Competition is so high so we should never let our guards down."

PAK na PAK, for the second time around. May shakeys na, may buffet pa.{Burp}! :)

Special thanks to Manong photographer who approached me during the special event.

HAPPY 40th YEAR FLI and to all FLIers!! CHEERS!

Stress-free overnight: Punta de Fabian, Baras Rizal - Day 1

After a seemingly long and stressful day at work, what could be a better way to de-stress and to unwind?.......

I've got the most heavier than air baggage that day.

Got my 3 pair of shoes {one is my boots}, slid the 3 colorful shawl, I positioned my 2 travel magazines at the back of my backpack, I kept also a couple of accessories, I also put in order my clothes and of course, I bet my camera has its own way to set itself at my dense bag!

Coz that day, me and my office mates headed to Baras, Rizal....

It's definitely a whole lot fun barkada getaway. Despite the fact that this plan has gone along way before it finally pursue {Okay, blame it to my measles}.

PUNTA DE FABIAN RESORT (PDF) is about 90 minutes drive from Manila.

PDF offers a variety of relaxation and gives off a more cozy feeling amidst the magnificent mountaintop in the heart of Baras.

For many, PDF has become one of the most anticipated premier resorts in Rizal.
Apart from leisure, it can also be a haven for out of town conferences, meetings and events. PDF also provides the perfect ambiance both for relaxing guest and for professionals looking for a place to hold a company outing or team building. It can be a honeymooners nest or a sort of a barkada "suite" escape.

First time I saw this resort in net,  I told to myself mapupuntahan ko rin to someday
The wanderlust started when someone from my office mates uttered the phrases, "alis naman tayo" and the rest is history. Haha, shortcut!

So  ako, intended to be generous, share this secluded place na alam kong magugustuhan nila. Pictures palang sa net, PAK na! And this was also confirmed by the blogposts na nababasa ko sa mga dis oras na ng gabi! GO!

So right after magpakabusog sa naganap na pagdiriwang ng ika aput-napung anibersaryo ng aming kumpanya, nag commute na ang mga atey niyo papuntang Rizal. We booked for an overnight stay for 6pax.

Expenses:
Jeep from Pasay to MRT taft: Php8.00
FX, from Shaw to PDF, Rizal: Php70.00

At exactly 2:45PM, we are at the gate of the resort.

Very spacious and very advisable to group, between 3- 7persons.

T/B: Clean, complete with towels and toiletries though quite old. The hotchuva na thermostat ay unfortunately not working and it never came to my mind na pwede pala itong ipa fix sa management. Keri boom boom lang ang lameeeeeg that time kahit may bagyo. hehe

The loft room seemed really inviting to sleep the whole day while you're stayin' at the resort. It has cable TV {madalas nilang i-watch eh ung mga pang kids, because of Sophie}. With A/C of course. However, I just noticed the windows are not maintained that much, quite messy. The room has service water and coffee too.

In general, passable pa rin sa taste ko when it comes to relaxation slash right accommodation.

As you can see, I've been trying my best to be a "photographer" here.

Night view of the pool

The place gives you a rustic atmosphere and if you are a laid back seeker, why don't you caps off your day at Punta de Fabian INFINITY POOL.

More photos coming up on the next series of PDF.

The day we thought it wasn't a barkada's outing but Gloria's family outing. Hehe, they're one of the SWETest couples I've worked with.

At night, we had a very scrumptious dinner.

Dinner:
Grilled Liempo: Php225.00
Sinigang na Baboy: Php260.00
Rice: Php8.00

After a very satisfying dinner, with lots of chit-chat in between, it is just perfect to try their other amenities like VIDEOKE, billiards and dart.

Indeed, our first day in resort is not just an ordinary one.
It painted us smile on our face albeit some experienced pour rains. Might have save that post later on.

Anyways, I have to comment on the staff of PDF, very attentive. Very helpful din nung umulan and I need some shed for my camera.
Needless to say, the infinity pool always recharges me for another demanding and stressful day ahead.. I can't wait to wallow and swim once again!

Guys, thanks for this wonderful day kahit short trip lang at malapit lang sa Manila. Kahit na postponed, gumora pa rin tayo.

Oh, Yes!
I just RE.TU.RN.ED!

It's been so looooooooong since my last post, right.

I know, it's been a dozen after the year of Two thousand and twelve had past but I still can't get over it...

And so I checked my not-so-busy-napabayaang-at-inamag-blog.com kung anu na nangyare and nakakahiya man sabihin, {sorry for being such a lazy blogger, not to mention due to my migraine} talagang hindi na kita na update. But anyway, for a quick review here are my favorites for the past year.

Walking down the city was simply amazing. It was my first time and I did extra effort to grant my wish,
"A photo shoot"

 -Bonifacio Global City-
To sum up the best photo that I luckily did when me and my officemates planned to get out of town {proud}. It was more than enough a "kilig" shot or pre-nup for me.
That's Bernadettet and his BF, Angelo @ the PDF infinity pool or should I say, lover's pool?! hehe

-Punta de Fabian Resort, Baras, Rizal-

Want to be a mother at night and photographer by day, lol.
This is our little boy named... too bad, sory I forgot. He's more than like half Filipino and half American in a closer look. Para talagang may lahi..
Cute lang siya talaga. Very shy pa.

-Sierra Madre Resort, Rizal-

A shabby hanging bridge from Sierra Madre Resort.

Year end Party of FLI
Triumphant as I made somecat walk as "Fairy " for our group's "Victoria Secret theme"

-Park Metro, Pasay-

Diane, she is one of the most simple and elegant {flawless, not to mention} gal that I know.
My partner, no one else!

Got a chance to visit our relatives in province esp. our Lola.
We treated her and our cousin at Kamayan sa Palaisdaan {it was my second visit} and it became more special because of them!

-Tayabas, Quezon-

Very strong and big, Kabigan Falls
Speaking of pending, this has to be accomplished by this year. Not yet posted though..

-Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte-

Another soulful experience slash bonding with sisters.
Got a nice shot under the sun and of course under the giant Windmill

-Bangui, Ilocos Norte-

I know you still remember "Walang Hanggan", one of the most succesful and overrated teleserye in Abs-Cbn. This is one of their location, yung BUROL. Dito yun! "Habulin mo ko Daniel....ahihihihi..."

 -Pagudpod-

Spell F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E
Lam mo bang yung ADRENALIN RUSH, did u able to grasp that experience? WOW! Very new and rewarding pag natapos mo to.. Want to do it all over again, this time yung pinaka mahaba, malalaki at nakakatakot na rapids naman. Hehe yabang lang.

TWO THUMBS UP savoir-faire!

-Cagayan de Oro-

I feel most a happy person pag masaya ang mama ko. Tama?! Oo naman.
SUMBREBRO lang ang peg ni mama dito. Nahiya naman yung waway ko. lol

-White Island, Camiguin-

Would you look for another girls pag kami na ang kaharap niyo? Hahaha...
Siguro natutuwa ka kasi pending ko din to at di bale nang wag ko na i post....?

In fairness sa amin noh... wait, i po post ko pa nga ba 'to in 2013? What yha think guys..

-Saud Beach, Pagudpod-

If trying the rafting is nervous breaking, iba naman ang exp. dito sa 4x4 or what they called, sand bashing and sand boarding. Really wanted to vow to come back

-Laoag, Ilocos Sur-

We found the perfect roadtrip and that's when we arrived in Baluarte ni Chavit. I must admit, it felt good knowing Mr. Chavit is a pet lover! Grrrrr!

-Zoo-Vigan, Ilocos Sur-

There are so many places to visit within the whole area of Ilocos and one of them is Kapurpurawan Rock.
We were not that lucky to climb the big rock kasi pinagbawal na.

SUPERB formation!

-Burgos, Ilocos Norte-

"Kiss me and don't you dare fall in love with me"!
Charot lang!

Besides from Camiguin, Bukidnon is a place to be.
Very adventurous ang peg dito! We went thru two zipline. Sabi nga nila most things in life which truly worth it are supposed to be those w/ little challenges.

-Bukidnon-

Life is too short, so why not eating, do traveling, spend happiness with your one and only FAMILY!
I still remember how we were so happy when we went on our very first out of town via plane, and that's in Coron! Very rewarding when you see their smiling genuinely becoz of such precious bonding.

-@ Persia Grill: Ayala Triangle, Makati-

Oh, Dear, my dear! Para akong senyorita sa lugar na to. Indeed this lovely architectural design did not fail us. The old building were a sight to behold. Maganda kahit luma na.

-Fort Ilocandia, Vigan-

First time to witness the Hot Air Balloon w/ my very closest friend, Badet. Every travel is meant to be shared ika nga diba. And if you're kinda playful and spontaneous, you can try this one..hawak hawak lang tas smile, poof!
Though we didn't really got a chance to see the big balloons getting inflated, I was satisfied na rin kasi masaya ang gala mode at kasama ko si friend...

-Clark, Pampanga-

One that we decided to include on the itinerary was the Sunken Cemetery. The sunset is spectacular and so the local. They are so kind that they were the one who teaches us how to make poses for us to utilize a more dramatic photo at the beautiful back drop.

-Camiguin-

There is also a sudden rush of emotions as I think of the previous year. Oo nga, may bonding din ako with my churchmate and this time, malayo layo na. hehe.. Sarap ng food that time. Life is a BEACH talaga!

- Bataan-

With so much good things of 2012, most of it I spend w/ my family.
So obviously, 2012 had gone past so easily and I want to spend another travelogue with them again and again. It was really awesome to have a one or two breaks from office and have a family getaway!

-Katibawasan Falls, Camiguin-

Meanwhile, let's go to my current friends-in office.
Best buddies, I may say kahit ako ang pinaka old sa kanila :(

I enjoy their company and our holistic friendship -for LIFE!

-Caylabne Resort, Cavite-

There's always a room for improvement...

For some time, I fell in love with the vintage and yes, I mean Calle Crisologo in Vigan. Going places is such amazing exp. and for some reasons, traveling had helped me to look differently in so many things. Traveling is so sweet when I am with all of you guys!

Thank you for all the crazy, funny and simple comments that I was able to receive from you folks. For the time, love and respect you let me feel for all year round.

LIFE IS SO GOOD. GOD IS GOOD.
and so TRAVEL.

2012 has full of adventures for me.

I can be so sorry for not updating and poor me, it's already 2013. So many pending post pa rin!
God has wrote and still writing the pages of my life and hopefully, HE's cooking something better and SPECIAL for me and for my family this year.

I knew that these ups and downs, all of these travel momentos from North to South was a big reveal to myself and to those people I came along with. I also did know that there are people who have traveled ALOT than yours truly. Am just enough glad to experience this all...

I was not celebrating the year 2012 because of these material things but I am blessed to have my GOD, family and friends who always there for me thru thick and thin and from poorer to richer {kasal, mag-asawa lang lol}. Especially I was able to survive and conquer the best of 2012 because God is always at my side. For those travel that I did, HE never ceased to watch over me and for that I am so GRATEFUL! HE is the one who truly my good companion!

Indeed, 2012 is sooo unpredictable and yet, 2013 so be it!

I am willing to go with my life as God has planned for me. I am very thankful and grateful throughout the year..

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart".

P.S
Wishing magkaron na ko ng mas abundant na time this year, Oh.....oh...you're asking about my LOVELIFE, pwede bang next question nalang ulit o next year ko na lang kayo ulit i update {2014}... pagod na eh. hehe..ang arti!
Basta I am very positive and hopeful pa rin....

2013, please be good to me as 2012 was.......

GreatBond: Tagaytay Bulalo Experience and Bag of Beans

Like many Filipino travelers, this destination has rank high and has special place in my heart.
This is just one of the places you can easily go and back - just 2 to 3 hour drive from Manila.

Our family started to travel {via plane} two years ago and since then, I'm always looking forward to every new year and make every travel worthwhile. It IS heart- warming and nakaka proud when I was on the road with all of them.

For this year, we haven't planned anything yet just like that, but I was delightful that for the first month of 2013, we were able to visit one of the coolest haven on Philippine Earth, Tagaytay!

Closer one

Since Tagaytay has been most popular tourist spot especially during summer, we decided this time to go up here and feel the breeze during the coldest weather (January) para maiba lang at masamantala ang klima dito.
scenery while eating bulalo

Tagaytay is characterized by relatively low temperature, low humidity and abundant rainfall.

Aside from that city is endowed with a cool and invigorating climate, it has also a very welcoming scenery of Taal Volcano and Taal lake.
Oh! well, speaking of Bulalo, Ate Diane was so excited and aim to bring us to this one restaurant where she used to eat hot and best Bulalo in town. But to our disappointment, the said resto is closed and after realizing that it was "for Rent" already, we decided to scout for some other within the area.

Luckily, sa hindi kalayuan nakita namin ang Bulalo Point Turo-Turo Grill and we settled in.

Aside from the famous Bulalo, they also serve here Crispy Tawilis, w/c unfortunately NOT AVAILABLE that moment geez, sarap pa naman ata nito., they also serve Sizzlers, Steak, Crispy Pata, Kilawin, et cetera and fresh Buko Juice.

We also ordered the old-time favorite Kare-Kare, a beef stew flavored and thickened in a peanut - based sauce, with a variety of vegetables. The most common cuts of beef used are tail, shank or face. Plus, fried Kangkong as appetizer.

When the food arrived, that I realized na Ate Diane is right. Sabi kasi ni kuyang nag se-serve, the Bulalo and Kare-Kare is just for 2 persons pero sa totoo marami ang servings nila hanggang 4 na katao pwede ata sa isang palayok. Style daw yun para marami ka maorder.  Well., anyway kasyang kasya lang samin ang food, sobra pa at meron pa sa aso namin. Buto-Buto... hehe

You'll be surprise what this food have made us!

The Bulalo Point has 6 nipa hut for small group then a large dining area for a large one.

Nanghinayang kami kasi mas maganda ang view dun sa first choice namin na kainan pero aprub na rin dito, masarap naman at may view pa rin ng Taal Volcano itself, the Lake and the almost sun setting which behold right before us.

I cannot say anything more but keep yourself busy while eating at the nice view around you and feel the air in your face once in awhile.

  Mama and Papa

Mavic, Tita Susan, Ate Diane, and me :)

B.J

Kudos Bulalo and Kare- Kare! We are now so full.

Just right before our stomach recovered from eating, here we are on our second destination, the famous Bag of Beans. {10 minute drive from the Bulalo Pt.}, located in 3650 Aguinaldo Highway, Mendez Crossing West Tagaytay City, Cavite.

Hoooh!
{I can feel GOOD VIBES!!}

It was already nightfall when we arrived at the place and as expected to all famous restaurant ang dameng tao but in just a bit, we find our way to this relaxing sphere.

We're still entirely full that time when we sat down together under the big white umbrella near the entrance of the store. So what I initially did, the obviously hobby am in - P.I.C.T.U.R.E/S TAKING.

I don't know, pero the place is but such a ROMANTIC love nest, perfect for the upcoming heart's day.

TRIVIA: Maraming hindi nakakaalam, the Bag of Beans is not just providing a good food to locals and to tourists but the owner has actually helping some orphanage in Tagaytay. These kids who have grown up at the Orphanage are the one who will entertain the guests of the restaurant every night - and will certainly make your stay here memorable.

By the way, the Bag of Beans is a home of insect bites... ay mali pala. hehe, It is indeed a home of pastries, good coffee and a chocolate drink.

In fairness, the night is filled with chatting and catching up with friends.

Oh, sure there is also a bottomless KAPENG BARAKO {freshly Brewed Coffee} which Ate Diane ordered for Papa due to its very distinct {tough} taste pero dahil nga sa botyog na si papa, ni hindi man siya naka, "waiter, pa refill naman please"....

I ordered and got to try their Chocolate drink. Oh eh anu sinabi ng Starbucks at other coffe shops dito! lol
This is my personal choice to keep me warm all night long

Raisin Bread
Sipping my chosen drink while camwhoring in between :)

A slice of Tamis Asim Blueberry cheese cake
We would loooove to taste their other specialties pero due to super katakawan sa Bulalo atbp, eto nalang kinaya ng powers namin di pa namin naubos. Ite take out ko sana yung halaman sa gitna ng table namin eh para may remembrance. hehe

The place is so relaxing and gives you a rustic atmosphere.
Eh, aside from the delicious food they are offering here, the ambiance of the whole place is all worth to visit for.

The decors add up a genuine rural feeling inside the restaurant
Sort of a good bonding with my two sisters
Spell C.O.Z..Y

 Papa and bunso :)
Smile ako kasi suot ni papa gift ko sa kanya last new year. It suits to you papa!

Follow us on Twitter, on Instagram and like us on our Facebook page.. Charot! Feeling artista. may sponsor.. haha

Pansin nyo, ang mga tao lahat andun kumpulan sa labas kasi andun ako! sa piling ng mga halaman at iba pang nilalang  eh may mga chairs and table pa naman sa loob which can accomodate a numerous peeps. This awesome place is relatively big, with lots of space to choose from pero gaya namin, mas pinili namin ang mag chillax outdoor kasi mas masaya dun. Not to mention maingay kasi maraming grupong naglalaro ng Pinoy Henyo! Ang Pambansang laro ng bayan!!

Photoshoot ni Mama

Mag Jowa lang.. date?! hehe

Nevertheless, spending a day in Tagaytay is very worth and such a better way to escape from all stress brought by work in Manila.

The complete setting of this place: wooden chair/ table, hut, the garden set and even the interior is more than pleasant. The food is of course kinda pricey but reasonable with its undeniable taste made our FAMILY DAY special!

And before I forgot, if you want more privacy, there are couple of separate {Balinese-style} huts which require to pay for 1,000k exclusively for your group but don't worry too much this is consumable though.

This one I have told you. The restaurant is reaching their hands to some Orphanage. Sorry the shot is blurry. They're dancing with some kids at the background doin their instruments.
